Pyramid Lake painting
I painted this scene of Pyramid Lake last year - 8x10 - oil on wood panel. I wanted to give the impression of the wide open skies that we have here in Nevada. I've visited this site several times throughout the years - even took a couple of families out there for their family portraits! John C. Fremont was perhaps the first non-native to see the lake (a stray mountain man could have beaten him to it), and he named it Pyramid Lake, for obvious reasons.
